Monday's Schedule
9 AM-12 PM: Natural Dye
12-1 PM: Lunch
1- 2 PM: Vegetable Fermentation
2-4 PM: Rag Rugs
5-7:30 PM: Harvest Prep

Natural Dye Plan
During the Natural Dye session we will work on scouring our fabric, collecting dye plants, learning the basics of natural dye , and we will spend some time looking at the various books and resources we have on natural dye techniques. Please bring any fabric you want to dye with you. Fabric should be 100% natural fibers. We will use different methods for plant based and animal based fibers, but bring both if you have them. (plant based: cotton, linen, hemp, or more processed plant based fabrics like rayon, modal, bamboo. Animal fibers: silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, etc).

Rag Rug Plan

During the Rag Rug Weaving session we will learn the basics of weaving on the floor loom so that you will be prepared to sign up for a time to weave on your own. If the timing works out, Alice will demo some weaving and participants might get a chance to try out weaving on the loom (but not make a full rug). During the rag rug work time we will cut and sew fabric strips and a few helpers might be needed to set up the warp on the loom. Ideally, we will also get you signed up for a time to use the loom during this session. You can bring any fabric you want to make your rug, or use our fabric. It will take about 2 pounds of fabric to make a rug (almost any kind of fabric will work).

Here is a link to the schedule for the whole week!
Please keep signing up for additional activities or add your name to the waiting list if a session is full.
