Harvest With Us! More Volunteers Needed!
It has been a rainy stretch!! And the rain seems to be scaring away some of our volunteers. Here at the Mustard Seed Community Farm, we are reliant on volunteer labor - by volunteering our time together, we can grow and harvest an abundance of delicious food to share with folks in times of need. Do you want to help?

We have been having a very hard time getting all our crops harvested and cared for, and we need some extra help. Most of our intern crew have finished their time here, and many of our volunteers have gone back to school, or prefer not to work in the rain. Lately our crews have been getting smaller, but the folks that do show up have kept up great attitudes despite the challenging conditions. We are having fun, but getting less work done with less folk. We are hoping for some upcoming drier weather, and maybe some new and returning volunteers.

We need help especially at these times:
HARVEST:
Tuesday and Friday mornings 7-10am - every week until Oct 9. (after this, we will shift to 8-10am through the rest of october)
MOnday and Thursday evenings 5-7pm, through Oct 8

Saturday workdays: on Farm Work Days you do not need to come for the whole work day. Please bring your own lunch or some food to share if you plan to stay for lunch on October 24 or 31. Rsvp is helpful, but not necessary.

October 24 (9-4 PM), Possibly digging dahlias.
October 31 (9-4 PM). Probably planting garlic

We have a wide assortment of tasks that we need help with. some tasks that could be great for groups, or mixed abilities - or indoors if the weather is cold or wet. For example, cleaning and trimming garlic is a relaxed, seated job that's great for chatting. Please RSVP if you would like to schedule a group or help out at one of our regular times below.
