I have the privilege (and the challenging responsibility) to present with Molly Schintler from Echolective Farm tomorrow at the Practical Farmers of Iowa conference. Molly's great, and seems to enjoy public speaking MUCH more than I do, which is also lovely. I have just 2 quick announcements:
ADVENT CANDLES we still have advent candle sets available for sale - (see below for more info)
upcoming delicious event centered around CORN - AMAIZEing Harvest -Tentative date - Saturday Dec 3, 12:30-2:30, location TBD. Clearly, we have a few things to figure out about this event - but this might be happening this coming Saturday - so pencil it in on your calendar, and we will confirm very soon!
MORE ADVENT CANDLE INFO:

We've made another batch of our hand-dipped ADVENT CANDLES, and they will start being available for sale this weekend  at the Saint Cecilia Parish Christmas Market in Ames.  These candles are made with love out of recycled liturgical candles.  We are selling them for $20 a set and the proceeds will be used to help grow food for those in need.

once again, we are looking for LEAVES for mulching the gardens at the Mustard Seed Community Farm. This year, we will also take pine needles. Here's a note from Nate, who is coordinating the leaf pick-ups:

Just a quick note of this week's schedule on the farm. We will be planting garlic at these times and would love some help. PLease RSVP if you are planning on coming.
